The Administration has issued a new rule that ends all first-time DACA applications, ignoring a federal court ruling that allowed them to be processed. We must see this action for what it is, an attempt for ICE to accelerate and its mass deportation agenda. This is a deliberate attack on immigrant youth, our families, and our future.

The Administration has chosen to kill all initial DACA applications. This rule will prevent tens of thousands of eligible youth from accessing the protections they need. With ICE already unlawfully abducting DACA recipients, this rule will leave many of our immigrant neighbors in danger of being kidnapped and sent to detention camps hundreds of miles away from home. It’s time for Congress to rally behind policies that protect the very people who power our communities.
